  1. Something truly unique

Everybody should experience this unique Hawaiian tradition at least once!

  2. Hawaiian Tradition You Won't Want to Miss

It was such a cool experience to learn this Hawaiian tradition. The hosts were very helpful and taught us how to paddle in sync. My favorite part was watching the sunset from the water at Magic Island. Breath taking!

  3. Great Experience!

Thanks so much to the team of the Lokahi Canoe Club it was such a cool experience and I enjoyed paddling so much that I will do it again for sure. Moreover, it is a good workout and you get a great and unique view of the city from the water.

  4. Amazing experience…and workout! Super friendly locals that were great to share this with. Mahalo!

  5. Join a real Hawaiian Outrigger Team

In Hawaii, you can frequently watch outrigger canoe clubs paddling the canals, bays and open ocean. However, this is one of the rare cases where tourists usually don`t have access to join a real Hawaiian Outrigger Team. travel2change offers a special experience to practice with club members. It was a great workout, and we were rewarded by having a quick swim in the open ocean – that was incredible.

  6. This was my first experience and I was so comfortable with the people especially the members of the Hawaiian Outrigger Team. I came to a conclusion that paddling increases focusing, team work, timing and also being in the present if you regularly exercise. Besides, mind and muscle coordination!

Be ready to get wet. This is a must do experience, at least once! Thanks for this opportunity.

  7. Newbie

This was an awesome experience but now something my family and I can say that we’ve done. If you’re going as a family don’t expect to all be in the same boat but you will be together. Suggestion for the club, make sure that the steering in the back is aware that it’s peoples first times and not to yell at them to make them never want to try again. Me and my youngest daughter were with the instructor and he was very nice and encouraging. My husband and older daughter didn’t have the same experience. Still a great adventure and we can say we did it! ?

  8. A magical Experience

I often see people paddling on Outrigger canoes and always wanted to experience it, I just didn’t know how to get access to it.
Finally, my dream came true when I found travel2change!
Words cannot describe how magical it was to paddle out under the moonlight, knowing that this experience was possible thanks to many generations of Hawaiians keeping the tradition alive.
Everybody was very friendly, willing to help and teach me the paddling techniques. I was nervous at the beginning because I’ve never done it before, but they emphasized that more than stressing out on doing it right, it was all about having fun. Besides, it was an excellent full-body workout. I would totally do it again!
