But it was amazing!!! The kids were really into the project and enjoyed the drawing. It was great to see how much fun they had and how much effort they put in each painting. They were very interested in getting to know some facts about Austria and seeing posters and pictures how life is there. For some of the kids one hour of drawing was not enough. They really wanted to do their drawings and their short letters properly. So they even took them home with them, finished it there and brought it back to school in the afternoon or the other day.
The classes were divided into different age groups and the different level of English. The youngest was 5 and the oldest was 14. With the older ones we really got into the topic and discussed the problems of the Atlantic Rainforest and what they think should be changed. They didn’t do any drawings but wrote really nice and detailed letters about them and their life in the Atlantic Rainforest. I had an amazing time there and enjoyed it a lot. Big thanks again to Katia for being so open, nice and cooperative. And also big thanks to all the people who gave me some crayons, pens, felt pens, watercolors, brushes and handcraft stuff which I could take with me to Brazil for the kids. They loved drawing with it.
The paintings are amazing- I’m really excited to hand them over to the kids in the Austrian schools J
