Mana Yoga & Beach Cleanup

by Yoga Love Mana ($)

Located on the Diamond Head end of Waikiki Beach, we gather where Kapiolani Park meets the sea on Oahu’s south shore.  Join hands collecting litter left behind that would otherwise end up in the ocean. We will provide you with reusable bags plus gloves, and in just 30 minutes you’ll be amazed at how much we accomplish as a team.

Then under swaying palm trees facing the ocean, we’ll unite, and unleash our yoga mats to breathe & feel the spiritual energy known as Mana. Yoga Love Mana guides us through a gentle but dynamic Vinyasa style yoga flow for an hour.

Your kokua (help) will further our mission to keep paradise beautiful while showing others the spirit of Aloha ʻĀina.

  1. Great people and a wonderful light workout for body and soul 🙂

  2. Great job Jonathan!

Jonathan is a great yoga teacher. Thanks so much for hosting us!

  3. Wonderful

It was a wonderful experience. The yoga class was great and it was awesome to do something for the environment!

  4. Feeling at Peace and Happy

I am a beginner yoga but Jonathan does an exceptional job of accommodating everyone. We cleaned the beach and enjoyed some yoga right on the water afterwards. There’s no better way to kick-start your Saturday than this!

  5. Spirit of Aloha in park ecology & yoga

Cleaning up the beach and park was really meaningful. Several locals stopped to thank us for pitching in. As a native born Hawaiian, Jonathan was very resourceful in guiding us to the historical meaning of this special part of Oahu that once was under a “kapu” to Hawaii’s royalty. He then led us in a gentle yoga flow while encouraging us to admire and make a connection to the seashore at our feet and kūkui nut tree providing shade above. That is Mana – the real spirit the islands gives, and the best souvenir you can take from here.

  6. Best experience!

This was one of the best experiences I had so far during my journey to Hawaii this summer. Jonathan is really inspiring and takes care of every participant so that they get the best impression as possible. For me it was my first Yoga session in my life and I liked it so much that I will keep doing it.
    Thank you so much Jonathan!

  7. What a Day

Amazing experience! While doing the clean up many locals were sharing the good vibes, that really put me in a super Good mood, and then closing the dynamic with an Amazing Yoga Session (first time of my life) shared by our brother Jonathan an amazing human so connected to the source, that shares his passion for nature love and humanity.

What a day ! Thank you guys

  8. Balm for Body and Soul

I was apprehensive as this was my first Yoga class ever. However, it was a very pleasant experience. As a beginner, I could follow the flows, while my experienced colleague was totally impressed. The location was great with a spectacular view of the ocean. One word of advice: At first, we had a bit of trouble finding it – but don`t worry, be early and look for the travel2change flag.

  9. Sign up for this! Great for singles, couples, and families!

I can’t believe everyone’s not doing this! For one, who doesn’t love helping out the earth by picking up some trash for thirty minutes? Many locals and tourists even stopped to thank us for pitching in. And two, yoga in the shade of the palm trees looking out at the ocean was SO good for the soul.

What a wonderful workout with Jonathan. He’s delightful and a great yoga teacher too. My husband and I brought our three year old twin boys and they loved the clean up and even participated in some of the yoga moves.
Thanks for a great travel2chance activity!

  10. Philanthropy & Yoga with a ocean view!

I had such a great experience with this event!

It felt great to give back to the community and the environment through a beach cleanup and yoga afterwards was such a treat.

The yoga class with Jonathon is great for yogis at any level. He is very knowledgable of the practice and takes time to help individual needs. Not to mention you have a beautiful ocean view and the sound of the waves during the practice.

    I HIGHLY recommend!

  11. Love energy for Earth, body, & soul <3

I joined my first yoga & beach cleanup one month ago and have been going every week since. You meet at the beautiful Kapiolani Park where you get your reusable bag and gloves to start the morning by cleaning up the beach and park. I’ve found that this sets the tone for the following yoga session with pure intentions and the energy of love for our planet. Jonathan is a fantastic yoga instructor and makes the class easy to follow no matter what skill level you are at. I leave each week feeling strength and gratitude and will be sad to miss out on future meetings when my time in Hawaii ends.

  12. What a way to start the day.

I felt a little silly at first picking up trash until 3 gentlemen thanked me. That made me feel good. Yoga class perfect. Gave us more than an hour. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

  13. awesome way to start the day

Thank you Jonathan for the awesome yoga class! We started with cleaning the beach and ended with a wonderful yoga flow. It was the best way to start the day, I highly recommend this for everyone!
